Orihuela - with about 50 000 habitants Orihuela is a major city of the area. You can best reach Orihuela using the national road N 340 from Alicante.
One of the most emblematic tourist images of the Costa Blanca is undoubtedly the picture formed by the freestanding elegant bell tower and the tunnel that provides access to the old centre of Castell de Guadalest, both located within a granite mass of striking appearance. 
Benidorm the 1950's and 60's saw the start of tourist development along the Costa Blanca. Benidorm, long a British favorite, is Spain’s largest resort. From a distance, its high-rise skyline shimmers like a mirage, announcing an oasis where everything is geared to entertainment. 
Murcia - is described as one of the most beautiful and historic in the country. The city stands on the banks if the river and enjoys all year round sunshine. It has the highest temperatures in the region. There is a great deal of Moorish influence in the city, not least of all the impressive city walls. 
Cartagena sits on the Costa Calida within Murcia. Here you will find within, a wealth of history and beautiful architecture. If you explore the port area you will find a mixture of old and new.
